Privacy Policy for Flashcard Dash Last Updated: March 3, 2026
Developer: David R (“the Developer”), based in Canada.
This Privacy Policy explains how Flashcard Dash (“the App”) handles your data. The App is a hobby project designed for educational purposes.
No Personal Information Collected The App does not require a login or account creation. The Developer does not collect, store, or have access to your name, email address, physical address, or any contacts on your device.
Third-Party Services & Data Collection While the Developer does not personally store your data, the App uses the following third-party services to function and improve:
Google Firebase & Google Analytics: These services collect “Device Identifiers” and “Usage Data” (e.g., how long you spend in the app or which screens you visit). This data is used solely to understand app performance and is not linked to your real-world identity.
App Store / Google Play Billing: All in-app purchases are handled by Apple or Google. The Developer never sees your credit card information or billing details.
Data Retention The Developer does not maintain any database of user data. Analytics data is retained by Google according to their standard retention policies. If you wish to opt-out of tracking, you can use the “Limit Ad Tracking” or “App Tracking Transparency” settings on your device.
Children’s Privacy Flashcard Dash is intended for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we use Firebase/Analytics, we recommend that parents review the device’s privacy settings to manage data sharing.
International Disclosures (GDPR & CCPA) For Users in the European Union (GDPR): The legal basis for processing analytics data is your consent, which is requested via the App Tracking Transparency prompt on iOS or initial setup on Android. You have the right to access or request the deletion of your data through Google’s privacy tools.
For Users in Canada (PIPEDA): Your data is handled in accordance with Canadian privacy principles. We only collect the minimum information necessary for the app to function.
For Users in the USA (CCPA): We do not “sell” your personal information.
European User Consent (EEA/UK): For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the App utilizes Google Consent Mode v2. We do not trigger Google Analytics or Firebase tracking unless you provide explicit consent via the in-app consent banner. You may withdraw or change your consent at any time within the App’s settings.
